Broad Billed Hummingbird
This broad billed hummingbird was seen in Dennis, Massachusetts in December! The hummingbird is a native of Arizona and Mexico. It has been feeding from a heated bird feeder. A local ornithologist believes that the bird can survive here as long as the nectar in the feeder does not freeze. The owners of the bird feeder have been monitoring the condition of the nectar.
